Twenty years since “I Wish My Brother George Was Here,” Ice Cube’s cousin is promoting his triple-album and career with September dates, including a free show in Arizona.

In October, 1991 Del Tha Funkee Homosapien (a/k/a Del) released I Wish My Brother George Was Here on Elektra Records. The Oakland, California-based cousin of Ice Cube would go on to release over a dozen albums, and found the iconic independent Hip Hop collective The Hieroglyphics, as well as notable work with acts like The Gorillaz, Dan The Automator and The Artifacts’ Tame One.

To celebrate 20 years of releasing music, Del has announced a new 20th Anniversary Tour. He will be joined by Winstrong.

More news and confirmation surround Kanye West and Jay-Z highly anticpated collaborative project emerge. According to an official press release, the official release dates for the album have changed. Now, the LP will arrive on iTunes August 8 and will hitstores August 8th and 12th. In order to grace this release properly, the duo – now known as The Throne – has announced has announced tour dates for this fall. Tickets go on sale August 8, the same day the album is released exclusively on iTunes, whereas pre-sale will be available on Thursday on the website www.LiveNation.com/WatchTheThrone.
