Mourning In America and Dreaming In Color finds Brother Ali reborn and rejuvenated. On his fourth full length studio album, Ali teams up with seasoned producer Jake One (50 Cent, De La Soul, T.I., Snoop Dogg, Wiz Khalifa) to tell a very different American story.

Fully recharged and inspired by his eye-opening first trip to Mecca, the 2011 uprisings in the Middle East, and the worldwide Occupy movements, Brother Ali is prepared to unveil Mourning In America and Dreaming In Color. Created during a prolific, self-imposed two-month exile in Seattle and helped by platinum-selling producer Jake One, the album represents a brave new phase in Brother Ali’s remarkable career trajectory. Mourning In America and Dreaming In Color presents a scathing, yet honest, critique of America and its many flaws while simultaneously presenting a hopeful outlook of its possibilities.

Mourning In America and Dreaming In Color, in all its sonic and lyrical glory, promises to be both the voice of a burgeoning new critical American consciousness as well as the beacon of hope for those that hold fast to its ideals and potential. This is Brother Ali as you’ve never heard him before.

T.I. – Pyro

November 22, 2011

Here is the new single from T.I’s upcoming album Trouble Man dropping in 2012.

Nelly is back with a new joint with a little help from T.I and 2 Chainz.

Tip unleashes his remix of The Throne’s next single.

T.I. drops his first new verse over Future’s “Magic”.

Here’s the cover for Tip’s upcoming novel Power & Beauty which he penned with author David Ritz. The book is due out through Harper-Collins in October and is available for pre-order now.

UPDATE: Prison officials took issue with Tip’s mode of transportation from prison to home and have hauled him back to jail.

Only a day after his release from Federal Correctional Center in Forrest City, Arkansas to a halfway house in Atlanta, Georgia, T.I. has been removed to a “different facility” because prison officials objected to his using a tour bus to move between locations. He is now in federal custody.

According to CNN.com, Tip had agreed to provide his own transportation from the prison to his halfway home, but now federal prison officials are reviewing how got there – by tour bus.

A U.S. Bureau of Prison spokeswoman said she could not yet disclose where T.I. was transferred.

UPDATE: According to TMZ, T.I. allegedly misled prison officials into thinking his mode of transportation from prison to his halfway home would be “low-key,” along the lines of a van. Instead, he took a luxury bus to his house, which the prison didn’t consider “low-key.”

When U.S. Marshals arrived to take him back to jail, Tip supposedly mouthed off at them for catching him on such a “ridiculous violation.” He is currently being held in federal custody.

T.I. will be reportedly released from prison in just a few days.

According to MTV News, Tip, who is currently serving an 11-month sentence in Forrest City Correctional Facility in Georgia, will be moved to a halfway house on August 31st, a month before he was originally supposed to be released from prison on September 29th.

The Grand Hustle honcho entered prison back in November 2010 for violating his probation. He has since been updating fans on his status through his website, most recently posting his last open letter before his release.

UPDATE: According to XXLMag.com, T.I. will not be released from prison tomorrow as previously reported. Tip’s lawyer, Jonathan Leonard, says that the Bureau of Prisons doesn’t release information of prison releases until the very last minute and that “they don’t even cooperate with me and tell me much of anything.”

“The Bureau of Prisons makes all the decisions once [someone goes] into the federal system then the federal prisons is the governing body as to when he’s released, the judge has no control over it,” he explained. “And you don’t have any real contact with them, they don’t communicate with you and they don’t tell you when exactly he’s gonna be released.”

UPDATE #2: According to TMZ, T.I. was released from prison earlier this morning to either home confinement or a community living facility. Chris Burke, spokesman for the Federal Bureau of Prisons, says he was released at 7:29 a.m. and is “in transit” to finish out his sentence. Tip also tweeted to let fans know he’s out of prison.
